We are looking for a motivated, experienced, Skilled Mechanic. Our team members have the opportunity to earn the top pay in the area, as well as paid on-the-job training throughout the year. The ideal candidate must be a team player but also be able to work independently. This position requires a friendly and positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass pre- and post-employment drug screenings.
- MUST have experience with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles and equipment by diagnosing problems, performing maintenance like oil changes and brake work, and replacing worn or faulty components. Knowledge of both gas and diesel engines is required.
- MUST have basic tools to perform the job.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Inspection: Thoroughly examine vehicles and machinery to identify any issues or potential malfunctions.
- Diagnostics: Use computerized equipment and specialized tools to analyze engine data and pinpoint the root cause of problems.
- Repairs: Fix mechanical and electrical problems, replacing worn parts like brake pads, belts, and sensors, and repairing engine systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular service such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, filter replacements, and wheel balancing to prevent future issues.
- Component Replacement: Install new components and parts, including shock absorbers, radiator hoses, and other units.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all service, repair activities, parts used, and materials consumed for each vehicle.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a safe work environment.

Tool Proficiency: Utilize a wide array of tools, including wrenches, pliers, diagnostic scanners, jacks, and hoists.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle components, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze symptoms and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure all repairs are performed correctly and accurately.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency with hand tools and other mechanical equipment.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors regarding vehicle issues and repair needs.

Compensation: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
